Through its broad network of 650 volunteer lawyers from Colorado’s leading law firms, the Colorado Lawyers Committee provides a consistent, effective and recognized voice for our state’s children and disadvantaged.  From K-12 education to voting rights, from the plight of the homeless to the challenges faced by our citizens with disabilities and mental illness, the CLC continues to effectively advocate for and provide hope to these communities.  Colorado is a better place because, for over three decades, the CLC has talked the talk and walked the walk.

Working with the CLC Elections Task Force is one of the most rewarding aspects of my pro bono practice. Our task force comprises the preeminent experts in the field and our efforts consistently impact thousands of Coloradans through litigation, legislation and voter protection. I take great pride and satisfaction in my involvement with CLC.

The Lawyers Committee is an invaluable asset to the Colorado legal fabric. It is a critical player on matters that serve the public interest in a wide variety of issues, and, without it, there are large segments of our citizens that would not be represented in major issues of public policy.

The Colorado Lawyers Committee is the premier pro bono legal organization for lawyers in the United States.  The CLC started off as an adjunct to the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and the Law in Washington, D.C. but became independent in the late 1980s.  The member law firms do a wide variety of legal work each year for clients in the Denver area, elsewhere in Colorado, and beyond.
